How to read the chart
Uptrend line
Green line drawn under the candles, joining two rising lows. While price stays above it the uptrend is intact; a close below it is the first warning the move up is over.
Downtrend line
Red line drawn over the candles, joining two falling highs. While price stays under it sellers are in control; a close above it is the first sign of a turn.
Dashed line
A trendline that has just been broken by a close through it. The number on the right edge is where an unbroken line is on the latest candle.
Liquidity channels
From your Liquidity Channels [TFO] indicator. Red zones sit above old swing highs (buy-side liquidity: stops from shorts and breakout buy orders). Green zones sit below old swing lows (sell-side liquidity: stops from longs). Solid zones are still untouched and act as magnets; faint zones have already been swept. A sweep through a zone followed by a quick reversal is a classic trap.
Candles
Green closed higher than it opened, red closed lower. Times are UK time.
EMA 20 / 50
Short and medium trend. Price above a rising EMA is an uptrend. EMA 200, Bollinger, VWAP and swing labels can be switched on above the chart.
Key levels
The nearest support (green), resistance (red) and VWAP (amber) around the price. The full list is above.

Ideas tested with no edge so far

Big-wick sweeps (5 min)

The idea: a 5-minute candle with an unusually long wick marks a level where price was rejected hard. When price later trades back through the tip of that wick (a sweep), the market tends to reverse. This section tests that on every 5-minute candle and keeps adding to the record each morning.

Where it works best

The bar is how often a sweep reversed 2× ATR before running 2× ATR further. The black tick is the same rate for ordinary swing points, so a bar that ends past the tick is doing better than normal. Faded rows have under 20 sweeps, too few to trust.

Tracking it week by week

Bars: share of each week's sweeps that reversed 2× ATR. Line: the running total since the record began. Dashed: ordinary swing points. As more weeks are added the line settles and tells you whether the edge is real.

Big-wick levels not swept yet

Levels from the last three days that price has not traded back through. These are where the next sweeps would happen.

The dotted line is the wick's tip, the grey dot marks the big-wick candle and the arrow the candle that swept it. Each chart runs two hours past the sweep.

How it's measured
Big wick
A 5-minute candle whose wick is at least 0.8× the average 5-minute range (ATR 14) and at least half the candle, and whose tip is the lowest low (or highest high) of the 3 candles either side.
Sweep
The first later candle (from 20 minutes after the wick) that trades through the tip. Levels not swept within 3 days are dropped.
Back over in 15 min
A candle closes back on the original side of the level within 15 minutes of the sweep.
Reversed
Within 2 hours of the sweep, price moves 2× ATR (about — points today) away from the level in the reversal direction before it moves the same distance further through it. "Kept going" is the opposite; "No clear move" is neither.
Compared with
Ordinary swing points: the same test on swing lows and highs whose wick is under 0.3× ATR. If big wicks really matter, they should reverse more often than these.
Significance
A one-sided two-proportion test of big wicks against ordinary swing points. Under 5% chance of a fluke counts as significant. Slicing the data many ways will throw up some lucky-looking groups, so treat a single strong row with care until the weekly line backs it up.
